Welcome to Front Range Psychiatry. My name is Heather Newman. I am a psychiatrist with a practice located in the Denver, CO area. My office is in Genesee - which is half-way between downtown Golden and downtown Evergreen, approximately 25 minutes West of Denver, CO.
I am a Board Certified Adult Psychiatrist and have a very strong foundation in treating all mental health conditions. Some of my particular areas of interest include women’s health (especially postpartum depression and anxiety, as well as infertility issues and their effect on mental health), depression, anxiety, insomnia, ADHD and bipolar disorder.
I grew up in Madison, Wisconsin, and went to college and medical school at the University of Wisconsin in Madison. I did my residency training in New York City at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. This program has a great reputation for treating a high volume of patients with excellent quality care, and provided me incredible training in all aspects of Psychiatry. When I completed my training in June of 2008, I promptly moved to Colorado, as I was eager to live, work and play in our beautiful state! I love the mountains and enjoy many outdoor activities with my friends and family - especially biking, hiking and skiing.
In Colorado I've gained further experience in Psychiatry by working at both a Community Mental Health Center as well as for a large HMO. I am thrilled to have finally gone out on my own with my private practice, Front Range Psychiatry. I am confident that in my private practice I have the ability to practice psychiatry in a way that provides the highest quality patient care. I have already enjoyed working with many patients in this setting, and I am very proud of the mental health outcomes we have obtained together.
My office is located in the Commons in Genesee, which is on the south side of I-70, one minute east of the Genesee Park exit. This is convenient for clients who may come from Evergreen, Conifer, and the western I-70 corridor, as well as front range towns such as Denver, Golden, Lakewood, Wheat Ridge, Morrison, and Littleton, Colorado.
Thank you for taking the time to consider me and Front Range Psychiatry. Please contact me if you'd like to schedule an appointment or have any questions regarding my services.
